If you know me well, you know I’ve wanted to get back into blogging for a few years now. Even though I write for a living, it’s not the same style. I miss the hobby of writing leisurely, about any topic. I miss opinion pieces and the interaction with visitors.
I bought this domain almost a year ago and one thing after another got in the way of writing. But now I’m planning to carve out the time needed to post regularly.
It also helps that I have some ready-made content to write about. Running. It’s an activity/sport/exercise I’ve loved since I was a kid. From track to cross-country to 5Ks and up – I love to race.
Now I’m just weeks away from my first marathon – the Niagara Falls International. I’ve been training in earnest for 8-9 weeks now, including a group training session that meets every Saturday and is organized through Fleet Feet Buffalo.
It’s been an amazing experience that I just have to document. From the tips and tricks I’ve acquired to the gear to nutrition and more… But I don’t want to use it all up here in this first post. There’s just too much to summarize from the past few weeks.
Here’s the plan – check back often for my latest ramblings. Many entries will be running related, but many will not. If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll see I’m into many things – hockey being one of the biggest. That’s the fun of blogging. As I get more familiar with the bells and whistles WordPress offers, I’ll make sure it’s all organized and tagged well so you can follow along easily.
Thanks for stopping by.
